Wood-Fired Bud Vase by Grace McCarthy
Based in London, Grace’s signature style utilises weighty clays and natural colour palettes to create pieces which almost appear to be forged out of the earth. Incredibly tactile with an elemental focus on how the materials and firing process interact to bring out the natural ore and characteristics in the clay and glaze.
These ceramic bud vases have been thrown on the wheel before being wood-fired. The intense heat of the wood firing process allows the surface of the glaze to take on a myriad of colours and tones which come out completely unique on each piece.
