Contemporary painter Georgina Gurney takes her inspiration from the silhouette of the human body. She uses fast brushstrokes, oil paints, and rich palettes to create her enchanting studies of the human form, from her studio in North Norfolk.
Her latest series for IOTA edit plays with fleshy shades, ranging from the palest pinks to the deepest reds, to masterfully bring her bodies to life. Each piece captures a shapely pose, with colour palettes inspired by Rembrandt, hence the series name ‘After Rembrandt’, and will hang stylishly as a pair, triptych or as a solo piece.
Each piece comes unframed on canvas and measures 19cm (h) x 31.5 (w).
