Lauren Bryden is an artist-maker from Glasgow. Working across mediums, Lauren’s paintings and textile works are an intimate reflection of everyday life as a (m)other and the still and growing ‘things’ accompanying her through these moments, often exploring the beauty and loss of growing and the process of matrescence, through an innocent gaze.

Fragments of Growings is an ongoing series of water colour and oil on raw canvas exploring the fractured memories of (m)otherhood and childhood, capturing intimate scenes, the changes of growing bodies and how these bodies relate to each other through the passage of time.
