Mid Century Still Life Study by Bryan Whitfield
Bryan trained at Manchester and the Slade in the 1950s. He spent his artistic career painting out of the back of his van and travelling Europe with his family. His works are quietly intense, their impromptu feel belying the considered input of e.g. how one stroke relates to the next. IOTA has come across a small collection of his work and this piece comes with a bonus painting on the back.
