Lauren Bryden is an artist-maker from Glasgow. Lauren’s paintings and textile works are an intimate reflection of everyday life as a mother, often exploring the beauty and loss of growing and the process of matrescence, through an innocent gaze.

Fragments of Growings is an ongoing series of water colour and oil on raw canvas exploring the fractured memories of motherhood and childhood, capturing intimate scenes, the changes of growing bodies and how these bodies relate to each other through the passage of time.
