David Phillips, widely known by his artistic moniker Tenfields, is a London-based Welsh contemporary artist and designer whose multidisciplinary practice bridges fine art and architecture. A graduate of the Royal College of Art, Central Saint Martins, and London South Bank University, Phillips creates paintings and structural interventions that explore the physical and metaphysical relationships between humans and landscape. His work is deeply informed by 17th-century allegorical painters, the 1960s Land Art movement, and Japanese garden design, treating the environment as a direct medium for narrative and memory. Phillips exhibits his work internationally, with notable solo and group showcases spanning from The Royal Academy of Arts in London to galleries across Tokyo, Beijing, and Hayama.
